My works in one

I was contacted by the city of Collégien to make a 10 meters long fresco. After 75kg of glue, several days of work, and 1200 tiles, “FR_61” became my biggest street installation to date. Taking the visuals of mosaics I have installed around the world was the main theme. Thanks to the city for this beautiful and colourful project and thanks to all the passers-by for their encouragement.

Crossed paths in Ljubljana

I admire the work of the artist Invader, so I went to Ljubljana to see his exhibition “Prints on Papers”. During my stay, I distributed some mosaic hearts in the streets of the Slovenian capital.

15 mosaics in Portugal

At the beginning of this summer, I went to Portugal, and more precisely to the region of Braga. During almost a week, I was able to distribute 15 mosaic hearts in the streets of Barcelos and its suburbs as well as some on the seashore.

Trip to the land of the gods

In the last few days, I did a lightning (of Zeus) distribution in Thessaloniki, a city protected by the famous Mount Olympus. Greece became the 4th country to get a “distribution” of mosaic hearts.

During this wave, 2 hearts were installed near the White Tower, the emblematic place of the port city. The 320,000 inhabitants will not miss these little touches of happiness on their daily journeys along the waterfront.

Tiles for the environment

The Lognes college (France) contacted me to raise awareness of environmental issues among their students. The objective was to assemble nature with the heart in the form of a small 2m wide fresco.

The installation of this first fresco was made in the company of the art teacher and the students of the “arts” option. In the following days, the background wall and the contours of the fresco will be painted in white to accompany the visual.

Green, white and red

Green, white and red are the colours of Italy. This was the common thread of the two hearts I installed in the capital of Lombardy, Milan.

One was placed on the forecourt of a large railway station in the city to offer happiness to all travellers and to give a moment of sweetness to the daily workers who pass by. The colours of the station reflect Italy and match the mosaic perfectly. I couldn’t come to Milan without placing a heart in front of the Duomo, the historical emblem of the city. I kept a little distance to respect the place. You can find some pictures on the Italy page.

These hearts were placed in such a way that they fade into the background, without imposing themselves on the marbled architecture so specific to the city.

Back to the sources

During the month of February, I went to Brittany to pay tribute to this beautiful region for all the good moments I had spent there during my childhood.

Crepes, a Breton flag, a lighthouse… the 9 mosaics that I installed in the Bay of Morlaix, all fit perfectly into the landscape of this beautiful region. My hearts were all distributed in the middle of the day and in busy places. Some passers-by complimented my work, and others even thanked me. With this good feedback, I know that I have achieved my goal, and that fills me with joy.

To find all my pieces in the area, you will have to do your research thanks to the photos posted on my Instagram @tecinka.t5a account.

Dans le port d’Amsterdam

Amsterdam is often associated with its canals or the legalisation of cannabis. For this first distribution of hearts abroad, 5 of my mosaics on the theme of “Amsterdam” landed in the capital of North Holland.

I chose strategic locations for their installation, mainly on bridges as the city’s canals stretch for over 100 km. My mosaics are then visible from the ground, as well as from the canals, as many boats pass underneath. More photos here.
